Platform
One loop from asset register to work order.
Aerial plans each mission, flies it autonomously, inspects every frame and reports the findings into the systems your teams already use. Then it repeats on your inspection cycle.
The four steps
-
01Plan
Missions are generated from the assets you already maintain.
Upload your GIS layers or connect your asset register. Aerial turns each structure, span and pipeline segment into a flight plan, routed around controlled airspace, terrain, no-fly zones and landowner restrictions, and scheduled to match your regulatory inspection cycle.
- Imports Esri, GeoJSON, KML, shapefiles and CSV asset lists.
- Airspace checks against live NOTAMs and UTM data, with BVLOS approvals filed for you.
- Capture templates per asset class, so a lattice tower is photographed the same way every cycle.
- Output
- An approved flight schedule for every asset in scope, which you can review before anything flies.
-
02Fly
Docked aircraft fly the plan without a pilot on site.
Aircraft launch from weatherproof docks at substations or depots, fly beyond visual line of sight and return to recharge. Our remote operations centre supervises every flight, and the matching aircraft is picked for each job: multirotors for structures, fixed-wing VTOL for long corridors.
- Detect-and-avoid with ADS-B in and onboard radar on long-range aircraft.
- Weather gating holds or reschedules flights automatically when wind, rain or icing limits are exceeded.
- Live view of every aircraft, battery and dock in your operator portal.
- Output
- Geo-referenced RGB, thermal and LiDAR captures, tied to each asset ID.
-
03Inspect
Defect models review every frame, and inspectors confirm them.
Computer-vision models trained on utility imagery flag more than 140 defect classes: corrosion, broken strands, cracked insulators, thermal hot spots, vegetation encroachment, coating loss and ground movement. Certified inspectors then confirm or reject each finding and assign a severity grade, so nothing reaches you unchecked.
- Change detection compares each asset with its previous cycle.
- Vegetation clearance is measured in 3D from LiDAR, not estimated from photos.
- Full audit trail kept with each finding: raw frame, model score and inspector decision.
- Output
- A verified, severity-ranked defect list with evidence attached to each item.
-
04Report
Findings land where your maintenance teams already work.
Confirmed defects sync to SAP PM, IBM Maximo, ArcGIS or any system with an API, as work-order-ready records. Programme dashboards track coverage, open defects and trends for regulators and boards. Those results then set the scope of the next planning cycle, which closes the loop.
- Integrations for SAP PM, IBM Maximo, ArcGIS, plus a REST API and webhooks.
- Regulator-ready exports in PDF and CSV, with coverage evidence for each asset.
- Urgent findings raise an alert within 2 hours of landing.
- Output
- Work orders in your system, and the scope for the next cycle’s plan.
